Does this guy hate me?

I have this guy friend at school, and recently everyone's been saying 'I'm always glued to him', like, I'm not, but today there were some kids teasing us about this, and my friend literally said,"Ew, I wouldn't even hug her."
I mean, he's mean at times, but this makes it seem like he hates me

I don't think he hates you. That is a really strong word to use. I think he is immature is likely the issue. To say that in front of other people, instead of keeping that thought to yourself, is immature. Let's say he actually does feel like that, there is no need to announce it. That is the mean part of all this.

More than likely, he is showing off in front of friends. Again, another sign of immaturity if you ask me. It may even mean he likes you and he doesn't want to get caught showing that.

In the end, there is no way for any of us to tell what his feelings are or what he was thinking. There is also no way to tell what drove him to act like that other than a lack of maturity and manners.

If he is your friend, talk to him about it. Tell him it made you upset that he sees you like that and said that publicly. If he is a true friend, you can talk it out.
