well he is a coworker but now he is completely ignoring me at work not even saying hi or acknowledging me at all, yes we did have a talk so called well I said we are not friends no more bc I was mad at him so next day and the day after he wouldn’t talk or even say hi how usually he would, I have no reason to apologize to him so I’m not doing that but why would a guy completely go from goofy etc to this over should I just let it go

As for your coworker I’m sure he doesn’t hate you but right now I’m sure he doesn’t exactly like you. Right for real, that’s what I’ve been trying to do this past few days, but he literally won’t talk to me at all, like bc we have already made it work once earlier than this happened again so now I’m just letting it go and seeing where this will go it’s self

To rephrase, you don’t get your ass off your shoulders to speak with him first after you’re the one who cut him off, but you want him to talk because you didn’t mean it. Why would anyone wanna talk to you after you set that boundary? Man or woman? He’s not going to act normal after you did that, there’s no confusion there.

Well, despite your reasons for saying you aren’t friends, unfortunately you set that tone. Try looking at this situation from an outside, generic perspective without all the emotions attached: if you had a very fun, jokey dynamic with someone, then you fell out and they told you you’re no longer friends, next time you see them are you going to pretend that encounter didn’t happen and keep that same, fun behavior? Most likely not.

Well he could still acknowledge me and say good morning the least like I was standing with a coworker and he said loudly hey to her but completely ignored me

You’re trying cry “hostile work environment” simply because you’re upset he ignored you. His behavior isn’t unwarranted, you had a fight, told him you weren’t friends anymore and mutually ignored him when he passed by you and your friend. I’ve had a coworker I fell out with, but we navigate around each other and only speak when there’s no other choice. Yeah that’s awkward just as I’m sure it is for you but it’s the result of bad behavior on both parts. You were wrong and so was he.
