Guys, I can’t read this behavior?

I don’t know how to read this guy. I don’t know if he likes me, or has no interest in me… He lights up and seems interested when I talk to him. However, he does not initiate or say hi to me much otherwise. What I don’t understand is that he will come and sit by me when no one else is around, but not say anything until others come over then he will start talking to them. He has gone out of his way to brush close by me when he could go a different direction on many occasions, but he still doesn’t say hi. I sometimes catch him staring at me. I like him and I like talking to him, but I don’t understand his behavior… I also don’t want to be the only one putting effort to initiate conversations. Does anyone have any insights, or offer an explanation?

He is simply a guy of few words. He obviously likes you and wants to spend time. Not everyone enjoys talking... or feels like they have got something to say. You're in your 30s, so surely you have run into these types before, right? Have you run into this type before and how did it play out?

He is at least attracted to you, but his behavior is kind of weird.

He's very shy, and if you want anything to happen, than your gonna have to be assertive with him.
