Guys, what does it mean when you tell your best friend about a woman?

I went out with this guy once and when I met up with him the second time. His best friend called him and he told him he was with me at the time. I asked him who that was and he said his best friend. I asked him what did he say about me to his best friend. He said he told him he had met a woman on FB dating and that he had gone out with me.

Why would he tell his best friend about me when we had only gone out once?

Don't over think it. It could be as simple as What did you do last night? Oh I went out with a woman I met.

Because he’s excited for the relationship and probably a bit nervous too. Guys generally don’t have a large circle of friends they can be open with. A best friend for some guys is more than just someone they hang out with, they’re an emotional confidante and trusted source of advice. I wouldn’t worry about it, unless it becomes a non-stop textathon he’s probably just enthusing about you.
