I can tell a guy likes me, but I hate him. He won't leave me alone. How can I tell him to fuck off without him taking it as a joke?

The problem:

He's polite and attentive to me in conversations, so I don't feel like I can tell him to leave me alone without coming off as rude or unreasonable.

I do have my reasons, though! He was shitty to my friend while she was coping with a recent sexual assault. The jokes he tries to make in conversation with me revolve around insulting my friends, or spreading rumors about them to other people. I find him personally grating and presumptuous. He's also fully convinced I'm into him as well, which grosses me out.

I have a close male friend who this guy is obviously very jealous of, and blames for the fact that I haven't been talking to him. He also barely knew anything about me when he started following me around, so I have no idea where any of this is coming from besides projection on his part. (This weirdly isn't that unusual! I think guys can sometimes just smell that I have Aspergers and end up projecting a bunch of "not like other girls" bullshit onto me off the get go.)

I'm positive this is motivated by a crush, because people have come up to me and told me he started asking them about me.

I'm prepared to be honest with him, and I want this to end as soon as possible, but I have no idea how to bring it up. When I go for a more forward "PLEASE fuck off!" he leaves for the day but takes it as a joke or blames it on my guy friend who I sit with. Other times he catches me, he starts out with very polite smalltalk, so I feel like if I tell him I don't want him talking to me anymore, I'll be a crazy bitch for it.

If anyone could find a way to help start this conversation off, I'd be deeply grateful!
