Guys, what’s the deal with gas stations?

I haven’t hit on any woman at a gas station, but I agree with what @Andres77 said in his response.

In my own words:
Gas stations/gas station stops (and perhaps grocery stores/grocery store shopping & other places/activities too) are — in an animalistic metaphorical sense — high probability places which present “targets of opportunity” for men who “prey” on women…

Women at gas stations are for SOME men like wildebeest crossing a river are for crocodiles, because women eventually show up at gas stations (and hence this is what I think @Andres77 meant when he said that a gas station is a “choke point”).

Note: I’m NOT SAYING THAT HITTING ON WOMEN LIKE THIS IS OK (especially at gas stations, and when the “hitting on” someone is done in a rude/creepy manner), “I’m just saying” this I why I think women get hit on at gas stations.

I’m not entirely sure if — in addition to seeing @andres77 ‘s opinion — I didn’t also see @god_of_thunder ‘s opinion prior to submitting mine, but @god_of_thunder ‘s mention of “never hit[ing] on a woman at a gas station” and his words “easy target” are at least very coincidental (if not subconsciously inspirational) to my opinion.

but I have an idea, maybe because those guys will find it an ideal spot? no much pressure? they can do a quick "casual" approach, you're supposed to be there for just a couple of minutes, if it goes well and work, great...

but if it tanks... oh well, it will be over in two minutes then you can go on your way and forget about it? lol, maybe...

I don’t know honestly but the word pumping comes to mind lol Actually it never really crossed my mind about Gas stations being a place to pick up girls , but come to think of it , it has happened It’s pretty much a window of opportunity to strike up conversation with her. I have ran in to beautiful girls at the gas station and the gas station convenience stores on occasion and I have flirted with girls there , Gas stations and convenience stores is a place people usually go before they start there night off , cuz most gas stations now sell alcohol and cigarettes etc so it’s a place people go before a party or a concert , or an event or a trip somewhere , so people are usually in a good mood , because they are excited for what’s ahead , so it’s easier to start up a conversation with them , I have hit on girls there and girls have hit on me there , so yes I can see why that place is a good place to hit on each other. So that is my guess, as to why you get hit on at gas stations. Me personally hates pumping gas but if a beautiful girl is pumping gas next to me , then what the hell , Go for it , it’s better than just standing there with your finger up your ass lol

I've never hit on a woman at a gas station, so I don't know how true this is, but I imagine it makes for an easy target.

You're alone (if your guy is with you, WTF isn't he pumping the gas, like a gentleman), and you can't exactly walk, or drive, away, until your car is finished refueling. The guys shooting their shot essentially have a cative audience.

Again, no idea if that's really why, but it makes sense in my mind. 🤷‍♂️

probably because it's a quick exit if you shoot us down, so we're not stuck in a long Walmart line dying of embarrassment if a girl says no.

One stop shopping for all our basic needs. A tank of gas, case of Dr. Pepper, bag of Doritos and hopefully a hot babe. 🤣 I mean they call them convenience stores for a reason, right?
