Haha I do this because I’m in California and I love complaining about California. For reference I have a coyote 5.0 which means I have a modern Mustang. I also have a older car that gets better gas mileage. If you didn’t get it, it’s an older Mustang V8 lol.


I hate California’s failed policies and how we just keep trying them and everybody sees and complains about how crazy expensive it’s getting here and they keep voting for it so I’m still gonna complain. It used to cost me like $40 to fill up my tank in Utahand here it’s like $70 and it’s ridiculous.

The petroleum industry artificially inflates prices. There’s absolutely no evidence that we will exhaust crude oil reserves in the foreseeable future. It’s gouging; nothing more and nothing less.
That’s why people complain, and rightfully so. They’re already working on ways to continue gouging people who seek out fuel efficiency and alternative fuels. Ownership and road taxes are going to replace fuel taxes, and EVERYTHING else that comes from the petroleum industry that nobody wants to acknowledge and they refuse to live without will cost ten, one-hundred or even one-thousand times more.

Yes, US taxpayers are subsidizing military conflict that artificially inflates the price of oil. US suppliers can’t justify charging $100/barrel when the foreign competition is $30. Disrupt the supply and their prices go up.
The ONLY “honest” price increases to petroleum in the last century have come because the easy to find and tap sources are fewer and farther between. Finding crude and getting to it is often increasingly difficult, but technology has offset that challenge a great deal. It’s a supply side economy in every way. You’re fooling yourself if you think we’d be getting petroleum cheap if it weren’t for taxes.

Even funnier is that inevitably the guys driving these huge trucks and the women driving these huge SUV's are all conservitards who will tell you they believe in small govamint and want "market forces" to determine people's choices.

Well OK, "the market" has given you high gas prices and a choice between an 8 mpg 6,000 lb truck or SUV shaped like a brick and a fuel efficient sedan with a slippery coefficient of drag that gets 36 mpg. You chose the truck and the SUV. Fuck off.

I have a expedition i can't complain I love it. I wouldn't know what to do with anything smaller. I know I wouldn't be happy it snows here and when I need to be someplace im there. I like to off road and it gets me to where I need to be. So im good I dont mind spending a little more money to do the things I like to do

Yes same here i have a 18 foot dump trailer and I always over load it and in any gear I can go in to a lower gear or higher overdrive gear I have 35 inch tires on it and I love them it's the best off road and freeway tire and I will always get them they will take me anywhere all I have ever owned is Chevy or jeep. And I got this Ford 6 years ago and I love it

It doesn’t matter. Why? The oil suppliers either increase or slow supply to manipulate the prices.

This has been a long standing issue with OPEC for instance. Keep supply low, prices stay high and they want high profit.

Now I fully agree if you actually do not need a tricked out dually for instance, they shouldn't buy it but as long as there is a market, people will buy.

We adopted the automobile for recreational purposes. Not for basic transportation. Basic transportation is called public transportation. If you want to rebuild our Public transportation system for commuting I am all for that. There is no reason to spend 24K or more on a vehicle that amounts to nothing more than a very expensive bus ticket.

I would hate to drive a little car. I have been driving full sized SUVs or pickup trucks for decades. It is nice to pay 60 bucks for a tank of gas instead of over 100 bucks when Biden was president.

Why is anyone complaining about gas prices? They're the lowest they've been in 6 years, and lower than they were in the 2000s. If you wanted a gas guzzler, this would be the best time to buy one.

Well that is exactly what I did. I got ride of my big 4X4 truck. Traded it in on a Toyota RAV4. Went from 20 miles per gallon up to about 45 miles per gallon.

funny new cars actually burn more gas because of higher weight and crash safety unless you buy a hybrid but at that point you sacrifice reliability that will come back to bite you when the hybrid battery needs to be replaced.
