Guys, what does talking to a girl only 10 minutes a week mean?

I moved away for work, and my boyfriend and I now only talk on Skype once a week for only about 15 minutes usually. That's the only form of communication all week. Shouldn't he be trying to contact me more often if he was serious about me, or is it just a personality thing?
