Please help why did this guy get mad when I talked about another guy with him?

There was this guy I met? He is from Europe anyways we were just talking about things I was talking to him about another guy I used to have a crush on ( I don’t like this guy anymore and this is the first time I mentioned him I don’t mention him everyday if I did I would know why he got annoyed ) i wasn’t even asking him for advice or nothing all I said was “this guy I used to like was wierd” and stuff than he was rude for no reason? He said “ I’m going to be honest with you, I couldn’t give 2 f*cks about that guy can you stop talking about him?” Even though I only talked about that guy for like 5.6 seconds? I think he was being serious? Why did he get so mad I think he likes me cause he uses heart emojis with me sometimes?
