Why did he ask my friend if I left when my crush knew the day I left my job?

But yeah she told me today that he asked her if i actually left… Which is werid because days ago my other mate teased him saying “ where is your love” and he goes “ cmon mann she's gone” I don't know does thar means he happy i left?
