His behavior is like "hot and cold". A few times I have seen him look back over his shoulder while walking away. He has said hello with a smile. One time he looked at my face for several seconds while walking by without saying anything. He hasn't said hello anymore, but when he looks at me, he seems very serious

Beware of people that give you things without you having asked for anything. That usually means that he has something up his sleeve and most likely, this something is nothing else than he wants to get into your pants.

By attempting to bribe you with chocolates, he clearly indicates that he would like to know you better. There is usually only one single reason why a man would try to get your attention and that is because he wants to become intimate with you.

Just be careful and don't accept any gifts because if you do, you directly indicate that you agree with his plan.

Strange, if he asked your co worker to give it to you that signifies being uneasy. Second go around he made a point to give it to you himself. Not sure if theirs anymore details but if this is an office or warehouse type of environment and y'all don't normally communicate heavily.
