How does this sound if a guy said this to you.

Say he came up to introduce himself to you, and got your name. He then suddenly stopped saying hi for months. But see each other on campus.

5 months later

He says hi, Dont mean to bother you, but I really need to ask you a question. Do you have boyfriend? (If she says no) Followed by asking her out for coffee.
