Long story short: With my boyfriend's approval I'm talking to his friends (both female&male) because they're fun to be around.
Now one of the guys I'm texting almost everyday, I know his girlfriend so it's okay from both sides. We talk about everything, maybe 1-2x he was a bit flirty but I told my boyfriend and he said "he is just like really an extrovert, its ok".

Anyway lately my boyfriend is not really taking care of me and I'm not making as much money as he does, and asked him if maybe he could help me buy new pants cause I lost a lot of weight and can't wear my old ones. He said he can't help it's not his job to buy me anything..... (we live together for 4 years and have a child)...

I told this story to his friend (turned out he already knew but not like how it happened) and he offered to take me shopping if I would like that, and we don't have to tell my boyfriend.
Ofc, I politely declined.
I know his is quite wealthy, and he doesn't care about money as much as an ordinary person would, but why did he offer this?
Maybe he has feelings? I don't know because he is being a gentleman about everything really.

If he offers again. Don’t ask. I know you were being nice declining. Sure you can go with him. Long as there is nothing romantic or sexual.

Go buy your own clothes. Plus. It’s not a NEED if you already have clothes.

I guess my generation is a lot different than yours. When my wife ( girlfriend at the time) and I had a baby and were living together I supported her and our baby. If she needed clothes, I bought them for her. If she needed personal items, I bought them. I didn't make a lot of money but it was my responsibility to care for them both. I sold a car that I loved to make sure my girlfriend at our baby had everything they needed. I put my needed way at the bottom of the list.
As for the guy who offered to buy you clothes, maybe he feels like his friend, your boyfriend, should buy them for you but since he won't he'll do it.
