I’m in a serious relationship and I recently got engaged.
I’ve been friends with a cafe owner for about 8 years and we have always flirted. However, I was never sure if he had feelings for me or was just flirting. I had a huge crush on him but never acted on it (I’m very shy!)
In hindsight it did seem like he was into me. It became obvious when I got into the relationship. He was always giving my partner death stares and was extremely abrupt towards him (for no reason). He was always asking me about my relationship every time I saw him.
I saw him today and his colleagues were very happy for me and wanted to see my engagement ring. He said he was “happy for me” but had no interest in asking to see my engagement ring and even said he wouldn’t come to the wedding. I then said, “wouldn’t you want to see me get married?” And his reply was “of course I’d like to see you get naked, oh sorry, married”
And then the other day he was asking me if me and my fiancé use whipped cream in the bedroom. He seems to like asking about our sex life
Why is he not happy for me?
