so i was pretty chummy with a guy, we were besties or something. so much so he's the only one who's my insta id. i mentioned im attractive bc he said so, can be subjective or objective, not important. anyway, he said something toxic about women and for a few months i unintentionally ghosted him. and now i wanna talk to him. a lot of other things happen to me, so no i didn't ghost a guy just because he said something disagreeable. he's married, and i don't flirt with married men, he knows that. so is there any motivation for him to come back?

Would I reply? Yes. Would that initial conversation be awkward? Yes. But that's okay. Awkward conversations usually lead to better conversations and friendships or better whatever it is. You asked if there's a motivation for him to come back (and I'm adding the word 'reply'). I think the answer's yes. You say you were besties. That's hard to destroy unless you actively destroyed it. You don't have to apologize to him, but you're probably going to have to say, "this was the deal" and explain. Not making excuses, not justifying, not soothing his ego -- but the problem with ghosting is that they who are ghosted are left wanting to know 'why?'. And, you said he said something toxic -- he has to own that too and know how his actions hurt/influenced/emotioned (sorry, made that word up) you. But, isn't this what all friendships/bestieships go through? It's just different now that we have phones and computers and social media?
