I like him so much. I found him attractive when I walked passed his salon he kept staring smiling at me. My mum knows him and takes my brother for a hair cut there and he knows my mum. I followed him on Instagram and a while later he texts me saying hi and that's when things got serious. He texts me everyday checking up on me, saying good night and good morning how are you etc compliments me sends hearts kisses is being really flirty and makes me laugh we get along so well I don't know what I'd do without him. Saw him standing outside the salon when he saw me he smiled waved at me and I did the same. He said that he was 25 but then lied and was actually 30 which I've heard from my mum and her colleague cause she also knows him I cried and told him why he lied and he kept aplogising saying he feels like shit he didn't mean it and the reason why he lied is cause he was scared that I might say something at the start and says I can't do this anymore cause of the age and all but I was like I still wanna talk to U and stuff. But now we are like all good we talk and every thing I told him we can only be friends that's what my mum told me to say cause I feel like he wants a relationship cause of the age and religion and he still goes on and flirts and shit.

Is he a Persian (from Iran) barber or Parisian (from Paris) barber?

If he is Iranian, then you may have issues with the religion and with how women are being treated in that part of the world.

If he is from Paris, your problem is that those French are, just like a great number of Italians as well, flirting in an attempt to get into a woman's pants.

In both cases, I would be very alarmed and insecure because of their reputation. There are exceptions of course but the way you formulate your question and descriptive, he seems to be the flirty type of person and that is a red flag and no go in any type of relationship.

Personally, I would distance myself from either the Persian or Parisian because you are most likely going to run into some kind of issue that is only to your disadvantage.

Okay, he lied to you, why? Because he wanted to have his chance with you and that a great number of girls tend to favor someone the same age. That fact does not speak in his favor.

It is obvious that he is only really interested in you as a prey and once he got what he wanted, you will unfortunately be discarded in favor of someone else.

Also, being Iranian does create a little problem because of the way they perceive and value women. Unless both of you live in Iran, I would personally be extremely cautious with this barber.

Assuming you're at least 20, the age gap is fine.

He shouldn't have lied, but if you liked him when you thought he was 25, and don't like him now, then it should be because of his dishonesty or compatibility issues, not his age.

If you are 18 or 19, the age gap is pushing it I think, I don't reccomend anything more than 10 years age gap wise between 2 adults, as it can cause problems.
