So there's this guy who goes to my uni and ever since I glanced over and smiled at him, he began doing this thing where he'd hold eye contact with me. He stands afar, tries to lock eyes with mine and doesn't let go- idek how he stares continuously for that long without getting exhausted. Even if I try ignoring him, he doesn't stop. Sometimes when he sees me he'd freeze in his tracks and just stand there staring at me. He only stares from a distance and altho I tried approaching him he wouldn't respond.

What do you even call this? It's been going for a year. We're 21.

Ok he’s kinda creepy, but did you know the 6 seconds rule? Where if you stare someone in the eyes for 6 seconds straight, the sparks will arise. He’s probably manifest you, or just being a weirdo lol

This is way more than 6 seconds. I sometimes stare back to see how long he goes foe, but I give up after like 10 seconds, and he still stares.

I mean it all started coz I just glanced over and smiled at him, but he's been doing this for almost 2 years now, and he's making me believe that there's thing going on between us. I feel bad labelling him as a creep or stalker, like what if it's coming from a place of love? He wouldn't talk and he only stares from a distance but he wants me to know that he's doing this, he makes it plain and clear to me that he's doing it.
He treats it like there's this understood 'secret affair' going on between us.
