Why do some men like "bitchy" women?

I'm not saying its a bad or good thing, I'm just curious. what about a bitchy girl is appealing to many guys? I think we have all seen this so lets not pretend its only a small minority of guys who like this type of girl.

And yes we know girls like certain kinds of guys as well, but that's not what I'm asking. I'm asking what is the appeal of bitchy girls. maybe you know guys who like them, even if you personally dont. Just try to actually answer my question, basically. I know sometimes answerers drift away from the question!

Theres no one kind of bitch, there are many types but I'll just explain what I generally see, certain qualities that some guys who tend to go for bitchy girls might be drawn to.

Bitchy girls have the image of being very bold and outspoken, so that's appealing for a number of reasons. If youve ever heard the saying "don't take my kindness for weakness" then you know what I mean. People who are excessively kind and very nice may be seen as easy pushovers, or weak. The exact opposite is true for those who have a "bitchy" demeanor. They have an image (whether based on reality or illusion) of strength, you think they must be the kinds of girls who won't be taken advantage of, who know their sh*t, and won't take yours. It makes them seem like the alpha woman, in a way.

Some guys are attracted to the challenge. Its like The Taming of the Shrew, or the version our generation knows better, 10 Things I Hate About You. You have your Biancas and you have your Katarinas. Not always exactly how they are depicted in the movie, but you get the idea. Katarina was a challenge, a big one, and she wasn't afraid to tell people off if they said or did something douchebaggish or ridiculous. many bitches are like that. They are seen as the types of women who are more likely than their Bianca-like counterparts (who just "happen to like being adored, thank you!" ) to stand up for what they believe in and say what they want.

And apparently, the bitchy girls are seen as being freaks in bed. Guys are going to love that, obviously. Well, most guys. Also, some guys like to get as far away from the traditional image of woman, being docile, meek, over-willing to serve, submissive, etc. A bitchy girl may appear to be one of the more extreme ways to contradict that image, and so some guys will naturally be more attracted to that.

I think our culture is a bit obsessed with the bitchy image, on both sides. Being nice is usually underrated, which makes sense because its not as exciting. All over tv, you can see that many of us like to watch "bitchy" girls doing "bitchy" things. In high school TV dramas or movies, it wouldn't be complete without the bitchy girls stirring up the pot, think gossip girl, for example. There are many movies centered around bitchy girl characters like 10 Things, Mean Girls, and TV shows like Bad Girls Club. It's a fixation. It's exciting to see these fictional characters doing crazy things to hurt other people. We say we don't like these people in real life, but what other than the media mirrors/influences real life? In many ways, even the nice people who encourage and support these shows (like me! :D) are partly responsible for fostering a culture that glamorizes the "bitch" in the first place.

I definitely have my moments, but I'm more like a blend of things. I do "bitchy" very well, better than some bitches really, but I'm not A bitch. I'm usually too nice, kind, and funny to be seen as a bitch. I'm bi tho and I guess I can see the appeal

Possible reasons are the same as why girls like bad boys:

She's hot so they don't care.

Most have this she's not my wife so I don't care as long as I get sex.

Guys can't complain about excusing bad boy behavior because of looks.

Guys like sex a lot of b*tches are freaky

So guys don't complain about girls preferring a certain size or bad boys with experience.

They like the challenge

Guys can't complain about girls liking the challenge of getting an alpha.

They think she's a vulnerable girl deep down inside.

Basically like girls who think a bad boy really has a good heart.

They think they can fix her.

Basically like girls thinkimg they can make a body boy like a good guy

Quality doesn’t mean quantity. Even if the bitches attract a lot of guys you’ll find out that these guys turn out to be whiny, submissive losers, who like to be treated like shit which is very unnatractive, and the other category of guys that date them are assholes who fear commitments, so by dating a bitch they won’t feel bad for cheating or sleeping around behind her back. When a girl is truly sweet but have boundaries and stand up for her principles, she’s usually the one who attract the high quality man who’s smart enough to see her worth

Have no clue. Maybe some men think they're magically awesome in the sack. I don't think there are many guys wanting to actually be in a relatinship with a bitch. It would get tiring having to tell her to shut her yap constantly..

I don't know, I can't really think of any reason why & of all the people I know I've never heard anyone say they are into bitches. And I have never heard anyone ever say, I love her cause she's just a sweet bitch..

It seems like I'm the only guy here who actually likes bitches, everyone else is just speculating. Okay, so here is the real reason. It makes me feel superior and dominant, ironically enough, especially if she's also cute or prissy in some way (as opposed to the trashy or 'Karen' kind of bitch). Watching her bitch fills me with a kind of paternal affection, and a thrill-seekers exhilaration. Her mean comments don't bother me at all, they just make me smirk and chuckle to myself. I like when she's spoiled and stuck up too, as the result of status or wealth that I can be irreverent towards.
It's definitely not an "alpha female" thing lol, if anything the other way around. I'm not trying to 'fix' her either, because I see nothing wrong with her. And I don't necessarily think she's freaky in bed either.
I like when she gets me a little ticked off, I want her to fight hard and lose hard. I love her honesty, same reason people like Larry David. So what if what she complains, it's cathartic. Why do martial artists like fighting? Because it's fun, she's fun. Life is more complex than just "violence and aggression bad, care and gentleness good."
Though I'll be the first to admit there is a fine line between the sexy kind of bitchy and the just honestly upsetting kind, that line falls in a different place for everyone. I've never met another guy who likes bitches, not openly anyway, and I don't only like bitches or every bitch there is for that matter, it's just a recurring trend for me, and always has been. I still know what's good for me and what's not, thankfully.

By guys liking 'bitchy' girls, its referring to girls who stand up for what they believe in, aren't dependent on a man,aren`t too clingy or needy, are independent, not giving into peer pressure or acting like their 'sleazy``. I would recommend reading the book ``Why men love bitches`` by Sherry Argov, I just finished it and its amazing and you`ll better understand what I mean about men loving these types of women.

As a "bitchy" girl myself, I think my ex boyfriend fell for me because of that. At the point when the relationship was deteriorating, I was bordering on verbal abuse towards him. And honestly? It hardly seemed to affect him. It actually amused him sometimes, which kind of pissed me off.
