What could be reason for a guy to gradually lose instagram followers?

Before his following count was just going up. Now he losing almost every couple of days a follower.

Following goes up and down for different reasons.


Maybe he’s not active enough.


Maybe he’s not posting anything interesting.


Maybe the persons account has been deleted/banned.


Some people will follow you and when you follow back they unfollow you kind of like a con.


It’s not really that important to be honest, followers are meaningless yes they’re real people (mostly) but at the end of the day you don’t know any of these people, to me it’s not important there are more pressing things to worry about than followers.

Mine go up and down a few hundred times a week. People probably use the follow for follow method so when he does follow these people back they will then unfollow him.
