1.2K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Wasn't it Freud that said "God knows what women want. They don't even know what they want. So how can men be expected to know?".

For a long time men thought electrical appliances would do the trick and make girls happy. See this Edison Electrics video on making girls happy.
But that wasn't enough. They weren't happy after all.
From my point of view I do think girls should have been impressed by how much we improved their lives and the female orgasm by inventing the inner spring mattress. But no. That was just as much a flop as electric appliances.
Even the hairdryer didn't wow them. Instead of hours by the fire, getting their hair dry in under 15 minutes (I'm just guessing) didn't earn eternal feminine gratitude.
Overall my conclusion is that what women really want is to be perfect princesses and no matter how many electrical appliances we throw at them, despite the inner spring mattress and all, they are never going to be happy because to be the perfect princess will always require a bit more.14 Reply- +1 y
You linked to a video from the 1950’s, then write “ But that wasn't enough. They weren't happy after all.
From my point of view I do think girls should have been impressed by how much we improved their lives and the female orgasm by inventing the inner spring mattress. But no.”
The innerspring mattress was invented almost eighty years earlier in 1871.

@CrazyGirl2 Yes it has been a long march of flops in making girls happy :). We can go back much longer than 1871. Wood fired ovens were an early attempt 31,000 years ago.

Society (and gender rolls) have chanced a lot since before women had the right to vote. Also maybe if you dated women instead of children (girls) you might find the happiness that has thus far clearly eluded you?

@CrazyGirl2 I am quite happy thank you and enjoy the odd joke.

+1 yI’m a man and i know that the only important thing about women’s liberation was giving them the opportunities to go after what they want for themselves.
What women want is a constantly moving target. Women’s lib should have ended that. Despite having literally every opportunity men have ever had and then some, the majority of women still feel oppressed. That’s a sign of mental disease or defect, as far as i’m concerned. Nevertheless, as a nation, we are legislating women’s happiness in ways that we’ve NEVER legislated for men. What happened to “equality”? Ell oh ell!00 Reply
569 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Regardless of how men answer this, the key here is that females will protest being lumped into one group, even their own gender. They will say something like, "We are all unique. There is no one rule to apply to us all. You have to get to know us individually. It's the only way to know what we want."
So a guy can never say 'yes' to this. It's really about the specific women in his life, past or present. And then when he knows each of them, the girls will feel somewhat ok with him saying 'yes.' And then she'll change, and he'll have to know those new things too. It's never-ending.

You can't know what women want.
We don't work that way.
We don't have one standard processed brain that makes us all act and like the same thing.
It's this thought that makes men go women have no clue what they want.
They hear one woman say they like something. The guy goes. Oh all women like this. So when the next woman doesn't like it he is confused af.
Shocking we all have our own wants and needs😱

I'm pretty sure that I do, at this point in my life.
10 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Not really. I know what some women want, but not all women want the same things.
Not all men want the same things, either. Each person is unique.
Also, people evolve over time and their desires and needs may change.
The best thing to do is ask. Get to know her. Keep the lines of communication open. Be interested in her thoughts and feelings.20 Reply
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yNo because even women don’t know what they want. They get what they think they want then change their mind. I watch this video where women were asked if it was ok for a man to cry. A majority of them said yes. So they asked the women up to what point is it ok to cry. She said I don’t know he has to figure that out himself. Because at a certain point they look at men different who cry for certain things but can’t tell the interviewer what things would those be that would make you look at him different. But too not all women are the same. Some cry easier than others. Some are girly, some pare tomboys.

+1 yI used to actually believe that “the right man would just know” but the longer I spend on GaG, and the older I get, the more I realize that men, for the most part, haven’t got a clue what most western women want.

30 Reply Well if you think i can know you beforehand because you have come into my attention by posting this question, i mean that would be totally ridiculous. Women think that men have to know them completely after going on a first date. And yes, i can assure i know what they want if i have invested my time to know them completely and properly only if i am serious about them. Do you really think women kmow what we "men" want?
00 Reply33.2K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Beebella I'd have to say I know what some women want, but certainly not most.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 y😆😆😆 women don't even know what women want. But seriously, men know generally what women want. But even if you give her what she wants or show what she wants she'll deliberately claim it isn't or change just to mess with the guy. Most women typically want to complain about something.

Otherwise we are just guessing, and then we keep hearing the complaints that we don't know what they want.
