If told a female friend how attractive I thought she was before, it didn't go well, I can't understand why you would want your friend to look at you like a peice of meat.

It's a good rule of thumb to NOT say certain things to friends, my friend/buddy's wife usually wears low cut shirts and she has great breasts, do you really think it would be a great idea for me with a girlfriend, to tell my friend who is the wife of my other friend that she has great boobs? ...
No, incase you honestly can't geuss the right answer the answer is no, it not a good idea to tell all my friends who all have decently hot wife's that they are hot.
If they got a new haircut I might complement that, if they are wearing something nice that DOSEN'T show skin or curves I might complement that, like complementing a Christmas sweater or Halloween costume us ok, complementing her bikini kind of crosses over the platonic line and isn't a good idea. If they are being insecure about acne, an outfit they now regret wearing, or a bad haircut and I honest think they look OK I might say "stop it you look great"

What do you even want him to say about you? You already said he's married anyways, it sounds like you have feelings for him and he is just trying to be a friend.

My guess would be you are his friend. That's how he thinks of you. He is not attracted to you.

So when he says your friends are hot, he's not trying to say that you are not. He just doesn't see you that way, so it doesn't even occur to him that it might hurt your feelings.

It would also be a weird thing to say to a female friend. She might think that I like her, and if I don't I would not want to give her that impression.

Well, then my guess would be he likes your friends. Maybe he is saying it to you in the hopes you will say something to them. Or he could just be talking not really thinking of anything.

But I would say he doesn't like you if he's saying it to you.
