Not really a question, but an open discussion: He really went from "see you in January!" to "in a few months" to "someday haha…”?

Four months ago, we met online via Reddit & he immediately invited me to continue our communication on Whatsapp. We instantly clicked & he was really sweet, naughty, mature—a perfect mix. He put my worries to rest, he helped me heal my insecurities, he showed me how to handle pressure better. He still keeps in touch, randomly shares snippets of his day, asks me how am I or how my day was. To be fair, he did let me know that he’s busier now and that he has less time to chat. He assured me that nothing has changed, he just has less time now.

But something has changed, he no longer responds to sweet talks or sexy time that we used to enjoy. Everything is now casual. His excitement went from "see you in January!" to "in a few months" to "someday haha…” The distance and silence has never been this loud.

he was just flirting. it can never be exclusive because you've never met, you don't live near each other... you barely know the dude, 4 months. he could have a whole other life you don't know about.

That is true. I only know the side of him that he presented to me. Our communication or whatever relationship we have has been healing and transformative for me. I mean… I like him, he seems like a good man. He helped me overcome my self loathing. He gave me that assurance na I was more than enough and that I have nothing to worry about. I asked for a break and he said he’ll still be here when I decide to return.

An open sharing of thoughts and experiences? I just needed to let it out and wanted to gain a better perspective of things.

I agree. He promised to come visit me, he shared his plans to meet me, but I guess his plans have changed and I respect that. I didn’t bring it up because I didn’t want to pressure him. This is something that he needs to want to do.
