Is it normal for a guy to always be on his phone checking his sports when you go out to eat but then when you’re alone he puts it away?

It's up to you to decide what you feel is ok and what isn't. I just gave my opinion about if I was out with someone on a date and they were on their phone, I'd take it as disrespectful and probably leave. I don't know anything about your relationship so I can't say anything about that.

Why do you think he’s taking me for granted? It’s confusing because he always tells me how lucky he is to have me and how I make him so happy (he says that when I’m about to leave) and he’s always so loving then when we go out to eat he’s always on his phone :(

Like when we’re cuddling and stuff or we’re in bed together he is always so loving. He’s a good guy but I don't know how to tell if im being taken for granted. I remember asking him if we could get fried chicken and beer and he said “are you going to pay?” I had just lost my job lol and barely got to work because they let us all go I only worked there like two weeks so I barely had any money. That kind of turned me off but today he changed his act and took me out.
