What does it mean when someone calls you a joke?

I agree with other answers. Where I'm from, if someone calls you a joke it's equivalent to calling someone pathetic and is generally used as an insult. But it could be just his sense of humour if he's the kind to throw insults around just messing about

He says what he thinks. You don't impress him at the moment, but it's not really difficult to change his perception. Be just classy. Not arrogance and hubris, but dignity and good will.

Where I'm from, if you call someone a joke you're intentionally being disrespectful talking down to them. As in the idea of dating you would be beneath them. Context matters though, so you be the judge

It means he doesn't take you seriously which is a bit of a slam. Unless, you are humorous and that is what you are aiming for.
