Being a boy scout does not necessarily indicate whether a person is a red flag or not. While the boy scouts organization promotes values such as leadership, community service, and respect for others, it's important to remember that individuals within any organization can vary in their beliefs and behaviors.
It's important to get to know a person on an individual level, rather than making assumptions based on their affiliation with a particular organization or group. Look for qualities such as honesty, kindness, and respect in the person you're interested in, and pay attention to how they treat others.
While being a boy scout may indicate that a person values certain qualities, it's not a guarantee that they will treat you well or be a trustworthy partner. It's important to trust your instincts and pay attention to any red flags or warning signs in the person's behavior or actions.
Ultimately, the most important factor in a relationship is mutual respect, trust, and communication. Focus on building a relationship with someone who shares your values and treats you with kindness and respect, regardless of whether or not they are a member of a particular organization.
It depends on what exactly you mean by "boy scout." But in general, then no that's not a red-flag at all. If anything it is a good sign that a guy might be more likely to treat you well. But it really does depend on what you mean by "boy scout."
If you mean: A guy who is over-the-top about "taking charge to figure out how to solve a situation. Who is always prepared for contingencies etc." Then I'd say that's fine, as long as its not too over-the-top.
If you mean: A guy who is really straight-laced, honest, follows the rules, and has a sense of duty towards others (in general). Then I would say that's great. Nothing but green-flags.
So what exactly do you mean by "boy scout?"
I can't really imagine its any sort of red-flag (unless you mean boy scout in some way I'm not thinking of)
I’m not sure why it would be bad. I can understand it sounding good.
