I don't go by bra sizes because they are misleading.
The band width is supposed to be the same as her rib (under bust) measurement. The cup is based on the difference between her rib and bust measurements. Each inch if difference is a cup size. (i. e. 1"=A, 2"=B, 3"=C, etc.)
But most places where women go to get fitted add 4" to their rib measurement. And that decreases the cup size by four letters.
My preferred boob size is around 6" larger than her rib measurement. That's not all that large.
Example: Let's say her body measurements are 34", 24", 34". A woman's typical rib measurement is 3"-4" larger than her waist. So if her waist was 24" and her rib measurement was 27" or 28" and her bust measurement was 34", a proper fitting bra would be 28DDD. But if her band width is 4" too large, which is common, she would be wearing a 32B or C bra.
So people get confused into thinking that a C cup is medium when it's actually small because it's only a 3" difference between her rib and bust measurement.
People think D is large and DDD is humongous. But again, DDD is only a 6" difference between her rib and bust measurement. It's actually medium. Over an 8" difference would be getting into the large category.

As the other Lliam said, cup sizes can be very misleading. Here is a chart of sister sizes to give you an idea of why:
Of course, the shallow assholes have arrived in the comments.
No guy wants D and above because they're unattractive. Women can't FUCKING help it how their chest grew out.

B's. Enough to have something, but not big ass honkers that I feel obligated to please.
I love small perky boobs, ideally with puffy nipples. But, honestly, all boobs are amazing!
Where is the J cup? ☹️
As freakishly big as they can get.
