It can be normal, but its also possible your not standing out based on looks alone. The solution is to both be more approachable, or approach your crush yourself. If you want to be more approachable make sure its obvious what kind of guys you want to attract. If you for example are more introverted and would like a geeky guy, wear something that expresses your hobbies and interests so its easy conversation fuel.
