I don't know what’s going on but I work with these two. I know the “crush” didn’t really seem attracted to me I don't know. He also seems shy.
it seems like after he caught me teary eyed at work he seems to notice me a bit more. He’s starting to look at me and I even saw him staring while I was talking.. him and his coworker/friend.
his friend for sure has been looking taking glances and even help the door open specifically for me.

I'd say you being teary made you seem vulnerable to him and men do feel protective to girls. I think it revolves around that.
I don’t get what that means bc I’m not a guy… it doesn’t mean interest or just he felt bad?
And it is feminist 'don't need a man' times. It is simply that men do feel protective towards girls and it is captured in the 'damsel in distress' meme. If you were teary then we would think you are in some emotional distress and feel you need a bit of rescuing.
It could be entirely altruistic and might just be aimed at lifting your mood but it can, and is more likely I think, that these guys are inclined to be protective of you and therefore have become interested in you. It is a fairly classic romance scenario.
I am a bit of a sucker for rescuing damsels.
He’s also much younger. He’s 19/20 and I’m 25
OK, maybe that rules it out.
