I think my friend's crush is developing a crush on me?

This was definitely not expected. My friend has a crush on this guy (J). She liked him last year and says that her feelings have died down, but would "still go out with him if he asked." This past week, he posted a funny video on Snapchat and I reacted to it. He responded with somethin along the lines of telling me it lefts his spirits now that he has covid. I asked him how he was doing and let him know that if he needed anything to just let me know. He messaged me early the next day asking if I would mind taking him some Gatorade or Powerade, then an hour later said never mind as his roommate got it for him. Since then, J keeps trying to not end the conversation between us. "How's your day?" "How's the semester?" "What are you doing right now?" etc. I mentioned that I am applying for grad school this year and he offered to read anything, test me, etc. He then said that, "They'd be making a big mistake if they didn't accept you. You're the most caring, hardest working and committed person here." Am I overthinking this? We generally don't talk much, which is why I am so confused and scared that he might be developing feelings for me. He's a nice guy, really nice guy!! But I think we are just too different to be together. His style and mine don't align, neither do our interest or hobbies, and I am not attracted to him.
