I think I freaked out my crush...

Well I started crushing on this guy who I don't know very well. I thought he was very attractive and seemed like a decent person. I never really gave him a second thought until I kept seeing him all around school. A lot of his classes are near mine. He also joined NHS (National Honor Society) like me. He's a year older. Then I started really developing a crush but never built up the courage to go and talk to him. Then finally I found that he had a Facebook and added him. I didn't know what to say to him on Facebook and never sent a message. Then a week later my friends told me to send him a message and I did. It said "Hey. I've seen you around and thought I'd get to know you :)". My friends told me to write that and I did. I sent the message and thought I would get a response at least the day after words. Two days went by and no response. I seen him at school and there didn't seem to be any change in attitude towards me but I don't know. The weekend finally came and I was not able to check Facebook. So finally today I checked again to see if he messaged back and he still hasn't. I don't know if I did something wrong or sent the wrong message. So I'm not sure? Any ideas?

I think he is interested, but he followed that dumb myth that you have to wait a certain amount of days to contact/call a girl. What often happens is that a guy will wait a couple of days, getting more nervous and nervous as the day approaches, then on the day they put it off, and then again the next day and then they think that it's too late too call back because the girl will think he's weird.

That's a great idea! Tip: Don't try to wait for the perfect time, because you'll just keep on putting it off forever. Instead when you see him next walk straight up to him and say "Hi".
