So I've been developing a crush on my classmate for the last 6 months and I can pretty much say that I really like her to the point to where I think I might just have fallen in love. She is a nice girl and smiles a lot when talking to people and is really comfortable around my other classmates (boys and girls). However ever since I started talking to her more she always looks down and smiles when she talks to me and is always shy around me. But the thing is she remains that way THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE CONVERSATION that we have, almost never looking me in the eyes, and it left me thinking that I might have made her feel uncomfortable in some way because its always me who starts the conversation and she never does. Her friends asked me if my crush was her and me being the idiot that I am told them yes and then no then maybe to which they were not sure if she really was my crush or not. I asked her to prom and she just nodded her head and smiled (making me the first guy in class to ask a girl to prom) and then I heard from my friend that she told him about me asking her to prom but she didn't know what to say so she just nodded her head. And now I'm over here thinking for the last month that I might just somehow made her uncomfortable and that she is not interested on me and is just trying to be nice. I don't talk to other girls the same way that I talk to her (on which almost everyone has noticed by now) and I've been thinking about asking her out because we finish school in about a month from now because we won't go to the same class again so I won't have to deal with my annoying classmates when they find out I asked her out. Maybe I'm giving her too much attention, I dunno... :/ Sorry for the long ass text I just wanna get a precise answer :D

Sounds like you make her shy. She didn’t say no to you (You’re dtill going to prom with her right?) and girls don’t ask you those questions unless that girl likes you or at least WANTS to know if she likes you. Trust me, your “YES UHH NO UHH MAYBE” isn’t fooling anyone😁 she knows. Play it cool and maybe talk to her more and gauge her. Ask her to hang out!

Of course I'm still going to prom with her! :D And I'm happy she knows. I literally haven't had good days for 2 weeks thinking that she lost interest in me and that I made her uncomfortable by expressing my feelings to her friends when in fact I didn't do anything wrong, thank you so much for this reply thank you for being on this website you literally made my day! I will update you when I ask her out on July. And just one more thing please, she laughs with these 2 guys and is more open with them, could they be competition? Dude, you haven't had one date with her and you have fallen in love? It doesn't happen like that. It is more likely that you have fallen in love with the idea of being in love, because you are wanting to start living a more adult-like life.

Okay, you asked her to the prom and she nodded her head to indicate "yes." What do you think that means? Slow down and let things unfold naturally. Don't try to rush this along or you will screw it up! This is the voice of experience talking!

Tell her that you like her and just straight ask her if she likes you too or not. If she rejects you it's okay cuz you will go to high school so maybe you guys won't meet and you don't need to be embarrass about it
