So, my coworker, he’s a few years older than me. He’s alright, but my issue with him is that I feel like he sometimes feels he’s above me although he is not my supervisor. He’ll sometimes get me to do petty things like he once noticed we were out of water in fridge and cause I don’t drink cold water, I had no idea. Well, he discovered this yet he came to me and asked me to restock fridge. He also once discovered some coffee spilt that was overlooked so instead of being socially responsible, he asked me to clean it up. I just figured the right thing to do would be to do these things himself if he discovered them. He’ll also follows up and state things I did not complete although I will let him know if I was unable to. To be fair, it’s sort of part of his job to keep tabs on the things I complete so he can track efficiency and all but I will feel undermined sometimes. It also annoys me that I will be sitting at my desk and he’ll lean over and reach for something when the seat next to me is empty and he could freely grab something there. Not only that but he’ll sometimes even use my desk while I’m sitting there although I don’t think it’s hard to take a few steps and use any open surface. I don't know if any of this behavior has to do with me being female. It just annoys me. He’s overall and ok guy but these things frustrate me. Any thoughts? Am I overreacting or am I reasonable?
