What does is mean when a man tell you that you are extremely attractive, but doesn’t want to see u?

I have this crush on this man for many years. He his 10 years older than me and its seems to bother him. We saw each other on and off for about 2 years. He keeps telling how extremely attractive I am and how I can get any guy I want , his exact words are “I truly don’t understand how you dont have a line up of guys for you, you are so beautiful and sweet , you can have litteraly anyone you want”. But he constantly give me the silent treatment for no reason. And when I tell him that his behaviour turns me off, he get upset. I get it he doesn’t love me. But why in the world, if he thinks I am this attractive, he highly doesn’t give a shit about me and ignores me like this. Insecurity? Manipulation? Fear or age gap?

I’m guessing it’s the age difference. Sure nowadays most people are ok w age differences but in his case I think he prefers someone closer to his age. Maybe a little older. But looking at your age category he may prefer someone younger than you. Couldn’t really say. He may just be telling you this to not hurt your feelings. W put a pic I couldn’t say if you’re cute or not as he says you are.

I'd guess it is the age gap. It sounds a little as if he's giving you a way to back out, although it's possible he's just not interested. Are you certain he's heterosexual?

He is heterosexual, he is very attracted to me and we have great sexual chemistry. You might be right, the age gap bothers him. Even if told him over and over again that there’s nothing to worry about. I am not immature and he knows it. Something he keeps telling me to is “you can have someone so much younger than me”.
If, personally, I wouldn’t be interested into someone, I wouldn’t keep telling them how wonderful they are then handing back to someone else. That’s fucked up.

If he’s straight he clearly is very attracted to you, but doesn’t know how to say it. Maybe the age gap is tripping him up or maybe he’s a little awkward. If you like him I would make a move.

I have made multiple move over the years and one day he is all in and the next day he says that he wish me the find someone then he ghost me. I constantly have to be careful by fear that he is backing up again.
