I really don't find shyness attractive in ant gender. I'm bi so I date both guys and girls. I'm very outgoing and try to find a person that is the same and likes to go out. I am also a talker so someone shy is just not a good match for my personality. Maybe some girls like that but not me. As for guys liking shy girls I'm not sure they do anymore than most of us liking shy guys.
Either because they find this emotion as cute or 'feminine' fitting OR cuz of how it makes them feel about themselves.. "woahhh i made her shyyy.. damn i must be something"
