I wasn't complacent, I wanted to make more money. When you work a job that pays bi weekly and you barely make enough to pay rent and have to factor other bills and expenses like fuel and food, it gets nerve wracking and puts a fire under your ass to do better.

I rose fast by seeking opportunity in the company I worked at and reached the second highest paid tier hourly position within a year and a half of hustling. To put into perspective making only $12 an hour and then currently fifteen dollars more is a game changer, especially with overtime. Just depends on how much you want to do it and your situation.
