Why does my boyfriend gaslight me?

Every time I ask a question about us he will ither get mad or just not answer or leaves.. I'm 5 years older than he is and been together for almost4 years everything was good in the beginning of our relationship.. we use to go places together all the time couldn't stand to be away from each other.. now he makes me feel as if he would rather be someplace else with someone else and sometimes I get a gut feeling that he wants me but doesn't if that makes sense.. how can I get him to wanna be with me or is it just me overthinking things?
