Is it weird if I bought a man at work chocolates to say thanks for doing me a few favours (not work related)?

He helped me out with my car recently and then he knows I love a tv series and he downloaded me all the episodes.

I’ve got him a small box of chocolates just to leave at his desk or will he think I’m weird for doing that?

He is my friend but I’m a massive overthinker or is just saying thank you very much enough?… I hate me. 😆😆😆

No, I think that's quite kind. I've had several coworkers leave me little gifts on my desk and they are always well-received. Nothing weird (negative) about it... though sadly I must confess it may be weird (rare) because so often people are not that considerate.
