+1 ySometimes they can be. But nowhere near the extent women are. Here is why:
- Men are generally taught to suck it up and “man up”.
- Men generally don’t enjoy complaining for the sake of complaining. We are looking for resolutions when we complain.
- Men have less tolerance for other men who consistently complain vs. women who bitch among each other.
- Men know that it’s a huge turnoff to women to be a Debbie downer. It’s a turn off to men as well when women act this way too much as well. But men are generally more patient with women who act this way vs. other men.
Anyway there is a difference between ventilating and bringing. Men sometimes ventilate to each other but the conversation ultimately has a resolution. An action to take to handle the situation. It’s about collecting our thoughts. Getting an outside opinion doesn’t hurt.
But bitching has no objective other then bitching is just pathetic. But sometimes men encounter scenarios where they don’t know what the hell to do. We need to get busy doing something active and physical when that happens (working on a project, exercising, home improvement, car work, etc.). No one really respects men who are looking for a shoulder to cry on.
But there are times when men encounter seemingly hopeless scenarios. In those cases it’s best to focus on what we can control vs. what we can’t.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yNo. The subtle differences that makes women the queen of nag is thier ability to complain and not make any real discernable point. If a guy acts "b****y" you can deduce why he's being that way. Because guys generally want to resolve what they're mad about. Because guys are about maintaining the status quo. We don't want to disrupt harmony when we have it. Women conversely don't know or are able to articulate why they're being b****y. Women like to consider themselves good communicators but they're really not. They can talk for hours without ever really saying anything. Because half the time Women just want a guy to FEEL her emotions. This is why smart guys eventually learn to just detect signs from a woman to determine what emotion she wants out of us and then we just fake it (within reason). Because odds are he's never going to understand her.

+1 yOh even more bitchy. Some men act demonic even. I have seen men acting worse than mean girls towards a hot girl in my workplace. She used to ignore all guys advances and mind her own business and certain guys who have inferior complex or incels would pick on her and team up with her female rivals. She ended up quitting the job and in therapy
20 Reply752 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Sometimes, but still not as much as women. I find that the bitchiest men are the ones on the job. Catty and complaining like women and getting in their feelings when their ego feels insulted. But again, even this is still not as disgusting as it is with women.

+1 yYou're going to have to define "bitchy" for me, please. Seriously, I'm not being a wise ass, but I have two different connotations regarding bitchy women vs bitchy men.

+1 yI think anyone can be in a foul mood and it can be reflected in their attitude once in awhile.
However, it becomes a little too much if they behave that way all the time.

Asker+1 ySure. Always; but I’m not talking about women on this occasion
Asker+1 yCurious.. to what are you referring?

You’re a woman asking the question. I don’t believe that to be independent of what my answer should be. I need a context to know what you consider “bitchy”. So what happened?
Asker+1 yWell, i think my worst moment was when I was 25 and I left my best friend out of a birthday invitation to hit on this guy Ben that I used to like, because I thought he might like her better. I think that was pretty bitchy.
Asker+1 yI’ve had a guy think I was bitchy which I think you’re referring to, because I wouldn’t date him, because he left it too long to accept my romantic advances and I found his behaviour strange. I don’t think that’s bitchy. I’d consider that to be sensible.

When someone does something deliberately they know to be wrong, I’d say yeah, guys can be “bitchy”. Typically they’re called dicks or assholes or asses. It’s not typically labelled as such for males. Colloquially, I think bitchy means to complain a lot.
+1 yI have a license to bitch. 💞

+1 ythey typically aren't. cause men typically act solution oriented. in no possible world can "being bitchy" be a slolution for anything.

+1 yI don't think so except maybe gay men. Women are petty compared to men. The stuff men say and do is less gossipy much more pernicious. Womens' bitchiness is more petty and superficial.
10 Reply Yes, because duh. There are no extremes of human behavior that are absolutely limited by gender. At most you will find correlations, but not ceilings.
