My friend *Mark* said he has a spare free ticket to use at the movies and he wants to spend it on the two of us seeing a movie. We’d previously been on dates, but I was pretty sure he wasn’t feeling the chemistry, just like I wasn’t, because he wouldn’t kiss me by date 3; and I realised that I was relieved that he wouldn’t. I just couldn’t for the life of me feel a spark. Not even a small spark. So we became good friends instead. I’m not paranoid, but I often ask questions because I’m autistic and I have trouble correctly interpreting social cues. Is he asking me as a friend, or is he coming onto me? He did say months ago that he’d been too scared to make a move. I really don’t want to lead him on. Even more, I don’t want to feel him kissing me. He’s good looking and sweet and lovely. Nothing wrong with him. I just can’t feel a spark at all.
