I feel i should ask your advice. My guy friend who i had confessed to last year but got rejected invited me to see him few weeks back on my city which was also his hometown. But he only invited me, just told me he'll contact on the weekend, then was silent whether we will go or not.
I talked to him and asked until when he is around. because i also had a flight going to his city on the next weekend so i dont want that we might not cross paths. Anyhow, he apologized and said he was not able to sleep well because of the ventilation of his house (no aircon) and will just see me when im in his city.
So I'm already not feeling good about this and decided not to contact him even if I'm already here in his city.
Am i right to do this or is this petty? It's because i expected to see him and didn't. Also, will he get hurt? He knows when im coming but i didn't message him

Hmm that does sound kinda weird how he invited you but then wasn't sure if you'd even meet up. I wouldn't say it's petty to not contact him since he left you hanging like that.
If it was me, I don't think I'd invite him anymore. He already blew you off once and you don't want to waste your time flying there if he's just gonna be all flakey again. Plus you came all that way before and he didn't even see you like he said!
I wouldn't worry about hurting his feelings either after how he treated you. Just focus on having a good trip without him. Maybe see if any other friends are around you can hang out with instead. This guy doesn't seem that interested anyway, so don't stress over it. You deserve better than someone who's hot and cold, you know?
It's understandable that you might feel disappointed about the situation, but your decision not to contact him in his city isn't necessarily petty. It's important to prioritize your feelings and well-being. If you expected to see him, and he didn't follow up on the plans, it's natural to have mixed feelings. Whether or not he gets hurt depends on his perspective, but it's essential to communicate your feelings and expectations with him honestly if you want to maintain a healthy friendship.
