How do I know if he likes me?

I used to notice this guy I used to talk to, staring at me in the hallways in the new school year. For context, we were talking before but he told he wasn't emotionally available for any relationship and didn't want to lead me on. Which was understandable because he was going through a lot at the time. After a few months he started liking my stories of selfies of me. Then, he finally texted me after it being so long and we've been talking for a while again and he's even suggested to hang out in person since we don't have any classes together (in which we did). In the halls he waves and smiles at me and he does other things like copying the way I text/talk. But I feel like he hasn't given me super clear signs that he does like me.

I agree with @Iron_Man but also, depending on how long ago he told you that stuff, he still may be indecisive about it. The most important thing is that you take things very slow & see what he is really like as a person before actually pursuing him romantically. Stay safe 😭
