Guy started acting different with me?

Me and this guy at work used to joke with each other and have fun. But since September, he has become cold towards me for no reason. It's like we strangers or i did something to him. Like there is a room at work im in every morning and when he used to pass and he knows im there he would turn around saying "Good morning" very excited now he just passes without even looking at me. He is generally been like avoiding me not looking at me anymore. And when he does say Hello like today is like he dont want say it but forces himself to say it. Its bit hurtful because we were so close to each other now so distant and no no one said something bad about me he started behaving like this after i came back from vacation in September

So unless there is something very obvious that happened between the two of you I am going to go with what I think might have happened. You can elaborate with more info if this makes sense. It is possible the guy had a thing for you and was trying to be all nice and grab your attention. Maybe he felt that you didn't feel the same way and gave up. It could be a case of him thinking he was giving you signals he was into you and then him thinking he was getting nothing in return. This is only a guess and could be totally wrong.

@Radioactivity maybe. The asker could try and joke around with the guy like he used to do with her and see what happens. The only problem is she does try to communicate with him and doesn't get much in return. She says the hello seems forced. Another possibility is there is something going on in this guy's life at the moment that is causing him to be a bit cold. If it were me I would pay attention to how he treats others. If he is cold to everyone something may be going on outside of work.

If you haven't done anything wrong to him then sometimes you just have to let stupid people be stupid. Don't even worry about it. If you care about the guy then just ask him what's wrong with him and why is he acting weird. He's obviously lacking communication skills. Maybe he's having some life problems outside of work, maybe he has or had a crush on you, maybe a lot of things. Do you want to get involved in any of that business or do you want him to just take a hike?

This can happen when a guy thinks that you are not reciprocating, or that you are not doing so consistently. Ans in order to protect himself from further rejection, he starts to reject you. The coldness is for protection. He is not that way with others because they don't matter so he doesn't need to protect himself from them. You ask 'Is there anything that can turn this situation around?' which translates to 'Is there any way I can have his free attention back?'
