Guys, What does it mean when a guy brings up marriage hypothetically? Ex: “well what if it was us who were married, would you think the same way”?

If I’m in love with a girl or like her a whole lot, my attention will be focused on her and will take care to show extra respect and attention when we are together. Eye contact, body is turned toward her. Consistent contact and if he’s the one initiating often, that’s a good sign. So if those things are true and he’s bringing up marriage, then he could be in love with you. I wouldn’t talk that way unless I was in love. But you have to check if he’s flighty and brushes you off at all, because some people will say whatever thoughtlessly because they have big ego’s, so I guess it’s based off of his level of engagement and if he is present in the room with you when you are together, meaning he makes an effort to include you in what he is doing or wants to do what you’re doing. I hope he loves you and it works out!

Yes. He’s said that he doesn’t feel like he can offer me a relationship. I haven’t asked for one. Yet, he still does stuff like that and is extremely affectionate when we are together in person. So I’m confused. He’s given me a key to his place, left me alone at his house while he’s working, calls me randomly. My intuition is telling me he’s in love with me and is trying to pretend he’s not.

Even if it’s brought up a lot? I find it odd he keeps bringing it up when I haven’t said anything about it and just brush it off. Like I’ll make something like baking or whatever and he’ll reply “remind me why I haven’t married you yet” or “I’d marry you just to eat that [whatever food I made]”. Kinda mixed signally and weird to me.
