Why do men ask me (a woman) if I watch anime or play sports?

Those are generally things men like or for anime nerdy girls maybe I don't know. Mostly guys seem to me to be into anime though.

like when I say I watch reality tv this man told me it’s fake and it’s bad somehow. I know my tv shows aren’t the best thing to watch but they don’t have to tell me my interests are bad.

Insensitive trash cans, most people are and you just should accept it. Most American shows I think are… you know no, American AND Japanese shows are equally as garbage. In America the quality is just congruent to that of a McDonald’s cheeseburger being all depressed and squashed very unlike its promotional images. In Japan their anime is just woman being portrayed as dirty little c*msl*ts who care about nothing but the main character’s c*ck and they promote Zoophilia more than anyone, they even got Family Guy doing that nonsense with modern day Brian’s high horse smart ass. It may be somewhat accurate that they’re a few select of human females who duck their dogs but keep that out of the dog Jamm cartoons like holy fiddle sticks! If they’re not doing that then it’s just sh*tty action, all steak but no sizzle. Dragon Ball would be the PERFECT example for half assed shonen.

The designs of the characters haven’t gotten unique in like 20 YEARS and are more predictable than a McDonald’s ice cream machine being broken. The power scaling is so inconsistent it makes me want to down 10 full bottles of vodka with an oily German wrestler and a faded (SUPER drunk) squirrel while we listen to the YMCA themesong. Everything related to time travel is BULLSH*T and is a poor excuse to just clone characters. The transformations are so NOT transformations, they look like they were designed by a washed 16 year old Douche bag with off brand crayola colored pencils and a dream. Literally they are just recolors, and if they’re not then like, ONE thing changes and that’s it! DISGRACEFUL and LAZY.

Now, this little anime rant of mine may sound like complaints which they sort of are, but it’s also and more significantly a constant reminder of how I, Da Biggest Bird, am SO much more Giga Chad and am carefully crafting the worlds GREATEST CONGA SERIES! I agree that telling other people that their interest is bad or fake is wrong. The reason guys ask you about anime or sports is probably that it's their interest so they rather want to figure out whether or not you share that interest. They ma seem surprised if you don't that's probably a sign that they mainly know people that share those interests.

You should've absolutely asked him if he thinks his anime is real, though. How he can complain about reality TV not being real while he loves anime (literally not even real physical people) is hilariously ironic.

I'm a 44 year old redneck woman from he foothills of North Georgia and I love anime. If you let the fact its animated get in the way of some amazing stories being told, I can't help you.

But the reason theyre asking is because they're looking for shared interests.

They're hoping that you have similar interests to them because they're looking for a girlfriend or they like you specifically. But their social skills are probably not that great so it was a clumsy attempt.

I just told you my circumstance. I listened to him rave about anime which I am not even interested in. I was being polite and asking him questions about it. Then when I say what I enjoy watching, his response is to put my interests down. How is that even nice?
