That sounds to me like he was trying to make a joke. Yeah not really a good attempt but I think he was just trying to be funny by insinuating that you are getting dolled up for him by using lip balm. Not really funny for the reason you mentioned which that it was just regular stuff and not the colored balm. Hey I guess some people would think that is a funny thing to say. I wouldn't read too much into it though.

I read someone told you he intended oral sex. I don't think it's the case, usually balm is for a kiss. But you can tell if he's the type of guy who would make that innuendo.
