Why does this guy coworker always ask me for a piece of gum?

He will also tease me a lot too or mess around to see my reaction but anyways he always be asking me for piece of gum when he honestly can ask anyone else, like excluding one time we was in a group and he asked if anyone had gum this girl said I do so he took it from her but in general he always comes up to me and randomly be saying Angelina do you have some gum, can I have a piece? Like helllo maybe he need to start buying his own pack it’s only like 2$

Well I wouldn’t say he will start chatting to me at the moment he will just walk with me to my place to get the gum or he will call my name out for a piece and that’s all so not sure if I would say it’s an excuse to talk to me

You could tell him you don't have any gum as your dentist told you to stop chewing it. If the guy keeps coming around to see you, you'll know he's probably interested in more than your gum.

So you still think it’s bc he is interested in me so he will get my attention to ask for gum ( when he can do it with any one else) or he just being weird

It's impossible to know for sure. If you tell him you don't have gum it will be a good way to see if he finds another excuse to be around you. If he stops coming around, you'll know it was just for the gum. He may also just be a weird guy.
