I'm curious about the boundaries and perceptions surrounding physical affection between individuals of the same gender, especially in contexts where it may not carry romantic intent. What do you say that two men kissing?
Okay, let's break it down. If a straight guy decides to give a non-romantic peck to another guy, will people give them weird looks? Honestly, it really depends on where you are and who you're with. In places like France or Italy, guys cheek-kissing is as normal as shaking hands. It's just their way of saying "Hi" or "Great seeing you, buddy."
But let's say you're somewhere where this isn't common, like in many parts of the U. S. or in more traditional communities. Here, guys might think twice. They might be worried about being misunderstood or about challenging the usual 'rules' of how guys are 'supposed' to act.
What's also important is the why and the where. Are you at a laid-back gathering with friends, celebrating something, or just showing you care? In a chill setting, it might not be a big deal. But in a super formal or conservative spot? People might start whispering.
At the end of the day, it's all about what feels right for the people involved. If it's a natural, no-big-deal thing between friends, then why not? Being yourself and being respectful to others – that's what counts, even if it makes some folks raise an eyebrow.

Society acceptable? if society said it was acceptable to cut off you finger would you do it? This is the problem, we are looking for what is acceptable from same morons that tell you, 'you can be what ever you feel'. Why not use your own common sense instead of relying on what other mentally unstable people tell you to think.
Nothing wrong with a kiss on the cheek. This rule is the same for men and women who are not romantically involved. No mouth kissing. Loads of countries where men kiss and hug each other in gestures of greeting and reunion.
But no face sucking, in EITHER case!!!

I would say no. And why would a hetrosexual guy want to do that? I can't imagine wanting to do that for any reason. In fact, the thought is nauseating. Who cares if it's socially acceptable or not? Who decides what is socially acceptable? I decide what is acceptable for me!
I'm the middle east that's quite common to air kiss three times on the cheek as a sign of respect to your elders. You are not in the middle east, or you wouldn't be asking that question, so no, you don't get a pass to make out with your "straight" friend.
Actually it's kind of a custom where I live that you greet someone with a kiss on each cheek.. that includes men as well lol.. and I think in places like Italy and such.. it's pretty normal to give a man a kiss on cheek ( I noticed that watching sports ).. I think only in America it's considered super weird and inappropriate.. it's even weird for them when a man to kisses his son..
As a joke: ok.
But -for me- never on the snout. Not dogs; and not men.
This statement of course lacks some 21st century etiquette.
But... fuck that.
Two guys kissing is gay. Same goes for guys hanging all over each other like the picture above with your hand in your pants.
Let me put it this way:
It's homosexual to even ask about it on GAG 🤣Not a kiss!!! Maybe a guy hug, but no pressing the flesh!!!
In every culture except Western and perhaps North Asian cultures (not sure) men are affectionate with one another.
It's just in America where it's all messed up.
Totally depends of the culture. Kiss on the cheek is a form of greetings in the the Middle East and some European countries.
Here in the U. S looks gay af.
Not in the US and other English speaking countries.
In France, the Middle East and in much of Eastern Europe this is common but it is not seen as gay - just a greeting.
I don't think it matters what is or isn't socially acceptable. It matters what an individual person is ok with or not ok with.
I'd beat the crap out of any guy who tried that on me.I'm italian so i can't say shit i do it daily...
seems fine to me. i wouldn't think much of two men kissing regardless of their sexuality
in Europe it's common for men to kiss cheak to cheek... when greeting or being in of a friendly embrace like a hug or something to that nature and is non issue practiced in that sense..
Yes. In some cultures it’s quite common. Even holing hands or linking arms when talking or walking.
Over 3 billion females on the planet. Why waste time kissing guys?
Hell no! Kissing on the lips is some sort of a sexual act and intimacy and only can be done with a woman
Women are intimate with each other platonically. Why shouldn't men be too
If two girl's kissing each-other is okay, why isn't okay for two guy's kissing. 💕💕💕💕
Unless they’re family or from Latin America or some parts of Europe, that would be very odd.
