What is your reaction when a girl admits she likes you?

Guys, when a girl tells you she likes you but you don't feel the same. Can you let her down gently or in my situation just ghost her? What reaction do you have?

It's better to maybe flirt a few times then a few days (or times around) be unemotionally blunt and say you have a crush on the person, and just leave it at that, and stop being interested if nothing is reciprocated within a few times around the person.

Don't do this: Flirt with the person for months... for weeks... and think expecting them to do something about it without clear communication is going to be more than an unserious jester, an annoying one if the person doesn't like you. So don't wait to take the hint.

We have me2 and who knows what else. We are not going to do anything until you literally make yourself vulnerable. You have less to lose than we do, initiating first.

Well, if we were friends, I would probably just spend more time with Her, in order to get to know Her better, which would most likely result with us entering a closer relationship in the end. If it was a totally random girl, I would run. To a country with no extradition agreement, if possible. Obviously, I'd assume it's a trap, and if I fall for it, I might be in serious trouble. Unless She takes the rejection 100% calmly and proposes a healthy friendship instead, then it might follow the first scenario.

I tryand explain that I really like her but not in the way that I am supposed to. Maybe say that I could take advantage of the situation but I would never do that to her.

Depends on the context
