The other day I was hanging out with this guy that I’m talking to and I showed him a video of this guy that I went to high school with who plays basketball now and told him. I used to have a huge crush on him and he replied back and said “go crush on him then” kind of in a defensive way? Do you think he was serious or being jealous?

Both. Usually there’s a lot of truth to jokes. People just play them off as jokes so it doesn’t sound creepy or like they’re serious. Especially when it comes to sex jokes when men say things like that to women. If you like him, sitting there one day then he told you about this girl he had a crush on. How would you feel? Like yes she’s the best, never met a girl like her, etc, etc. I’d sure it would kind of get to you.
