Is it bad to date a 25 year old if you're 38?

I met this guy at work who I've now known for just over a year. We've gone out for coffee a few times & the other day was the first time I was. alone in his car. He didn't try anything on but he hugged me after our hang out.

He wants to take me put to dinner this weekend.

he's leaving the company soon so it doesn't matter till then.

Is that to young of an age?

Wow, that's definitely a big age difference. Some things to consider:

- 13 years is a lot at those ages. You're at very different life stages - he's just starting his career while you've probably been settled for awhile.

- He may not be looking for something super serious or long term yet. Guys that age can be less mature and wanna have fun more than commit.

- People might judge you or think it's weird. Friends/family may raise eyebrows at such a big gap.

- Power dynamics could be an issue since he's still your co-worker for now. Even after he leaves.

That said, age is just a number and love can happen unexpectedly. A few dates can't hurt to see if you click. Just be careful of coming across as too parental or like you're taking advantage of youth/inexperience. Take things very slow and don't assume it would necessarily go the distance long term.

Other than that, have fun! He might surprise you. But protect your heart and don't compromise your standards due to age alone. Let me know how dinner goes!
